Santa Sleep. (2008)

I tried this idea for a Holiday card one year,

then abandoned it because it looked too much like Jerry Garcia.

Some time later I tried again, as usual drawing with my

trusty BLUE pencil on vellum for a very soft style.

I started playing with it, and for some reason I inverted

the digital image . . . the blue tuned into it’s negative and  . . .

it had this much WARMER quality

Then I worked out the lettering for SILENT NIGHT around the edges.
