While I was a Director at (Colossal) Pictures in San Francisco,
we boasted we could animate in any style — Art That Moves
was what we called it.
These are frames from 2 award-winning animated commercials,
both designed & styled to look like an animated painting.
Both were painted on cells in a traditional manner,
then painstakingly shaded with colored pencils.
Also shown here—
The spec drawing I did that got me the Lowenbrau job.
I suggested the idea that the commercial would be one
long mechanical pan of the factory,
ending on the product.
